Kate Branch, Mosman Bride Founder

Hi I’m Kate.
I started Mosman Bride to showcase and support Mosman as a premier wedding destination. Mosman Bride operates as a bridge between couples and the local industry, encouraging collaboration across venues, creatives, and service providers.
Its purpose is to elevate Mosman as a cohesive wedding precinct, where each celebration not only reflects the couple, but also supports and strengthens the wider business community that brings it to life.
The very first “Mosman Bride” was Miss Brenda Pike, recorded by The Daily Telegraph on 8 February 1934.
The very first “Mosman Bride” was Miss Brenda Pike, who wore a magnolia satin gown designed with soft Grecian lines. It featured an unusual Chantilly lace yoke, beautifully moulded to her figure and flowing into a long, elegant train — as recorded by The Daily Telegraph on 8 February 1934.

For me, Mosman has always been personal. My beautiful Nana grew up on Shadforth Street, and I work in Mosman today. I was also was a Mosman Bride in 2010. It has a special place in my heart — but I also believe you don’t have to live here for it to feel like home. That’s what a destination is. Mosman holds a special place for everyone who experiences it, not just those who call it home.

From intimate garden ceremonies to harbourside receptions, from boutique getting-ready spaces to a world-class network of local vendors, Mosman truly has everything needed to create a meaningful wedding experience. Supporting local businesses is a key part of that story — florists, photographers, stylists, venues, and hospitality teams who bring each celebration to life.
Mosman Bride is brought to life through The Albert Mosman, where I am Chief Marketing Officer. The belief behind it is simple: a wedding day isn’t just about the ceremony — it begins in those quiet, meaningful moments getting ready with your people, and ends in the comfort and calm of a beautiful place to land. We’re here to be part of both.
